Terms and Conditions1. Ordering: When you have placed your order on-line, we immediately send you an automatic Email confirmation/receipt for your order. Goods are subject to availability, and whether an item is in stock is clearly displayed on our website. If you order an item that is clearly shown on the website to be temporarily out of stock, we will send it to you as soon as new stock arrives. If you decide to cancel your order before we get more stock, just email, or telephone us and we will cancel the order, and you will not be charged. In the extremely unlikely event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods. 2. Prices: The price for each Product on Thegiftandgadgetcompany.com is in UK Pounds Sterling, and includes V.A.T at 17.5%. While trying to ensure that all prices on the Thegiftandgadgetcompany.com website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will try to inform you immediately and give you the option of cancelling your order, or reconfirming it at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If the order is cancelled and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. You will be notified of any delivery charges before you give your credit card details. 3. Payment: Payment can be made through google checkout. The card details will be encrypted to give you maximum protection while shopping with us. 4. Delivery: We aim to make the delivery of our products to the customer totally stress free, and when your order is dispatched we'll send you a conformation email. The gift and gadget company offers a range of delivery services depending on the address we are delivering to. For Mainland UK addresses we offer Standard Delivery (1-2 days) and Express Delivery (guaranteed next working day by courier). For UK orders, you should normally receive goods within 1-2 working days. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated time, however delays are occasionally inevitable, and we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the rare circumstance arises whereby we are unable to deliver within our usual delivery time (1-2 Working days), and cannot agree another time with you, you will be offered the opportunity to cancel your order and get a full refund. It is very rare that your order will be delayed, but if it is delayed by Royal Mail, we can’t resend your parcel or refund you until 15 days from your original order date. This time period is specified by Royal Mail themselves. You can of course get a full refund for a delayed order simply by posting it back to us after it arrives. If your order goes missing in the post we will of course either resend the goods or offer you a full refund. 5. Returns: We believe that you will be 100% satisfied with your product, but occasionally you may need to return an item. You can cancel your order and return it to us within 30 days of the purchase date if it is in it's original condition, completely unused, and suitable for resale. You will be responsible for the item or items until they reach us, and we suggest you use a secure delivery method (which requires a signature upon delivery). Refunds are made within a week of an order being cancelled and the goods having been returned to us along with the original receipt. Please contact us by email or phone before returning any goods, so we can give you a specific returns number. You have the right to return a faulty item within a reasonable period of time. Please keep all the warranty information that accompanies your item as this may be needed should there be a fault. In the unlikely event that you have a faulty item, you may find it quicker and easier to contact the manufacturer directly so that they can rectify the problem for you. Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects and does not cover faults arising from poor/improper use. As for normal returns, you must contact us by email or phone before returning any goods, so we can give you a specific returns number. Regarding postage costs of returned items, if the item is deemed to be faulty we will cover the return postage costs to us. If it is just a standard unwanted return you as a consumer will cover the postage charge for returning the product to us. Regarding our initial postage costs in sending the item to you, we will refund this in the case of an item being faulty, but for standard unwanted returns we will not refund the initial postage and packing costs of sending your order to you. 6. Liability: We will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but, unless we are negligent, we cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you. Due to the nature of the Internet, the shopping online service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We are not responsible to you if we are unable to provide our Internet services for any reason beyond our control, for example, flood, drought, fire.. .7. Copyright and Trademarks: All rights in the designs and information on our website are owned by us. They are protected by copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights. You may copy and print sections of our website, but only for the use of placing an order with us. Privacy: When you make an order we note your name, email address, postal address, and phone number. We will never give your personal information to any other company. We adhere to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. We NEVER send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam). We do use 'cookies' in our shopping cart software so that it can work efficiently, but do not store or use this information for any other purpose. 9. Questions about your order: As we have such fast/reliable delivery, it is very unlikely that there will be a problem with your order. If you do have any queries about the delivery or the items when you get them, simply email or call our customer service department. We guarantee to respond to all emails within 30 minutes during office hours (you will usually get a reply in less than 10 minutes). 10. Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2006 - Recycling Household Electrical Equipment Here is our compliance Statement and information for our customers: The UK currently produces about 900,000 tonnes of electrical and electronic waste each year. This includes a wide range of household items from Mp3 players and TV's, to computers and toys. With effect from July 2007, the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulation means all retailers/producers of electrical equipment have to pay for the recycling of household electrical goods they have supplied. Previously this bill was met by councils, or items were not recycled at all. These regulations mean that all retailers must actively assist in delivering a UK-wide WEEE collection infrastructure and also encourage the participation of consumers in recycling electronic equipment. Goods that should be recycled under the WEEE directive are be labelled with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol on the packaging. So that you can get your waste electrical goods bought from us recycled, you can either find your local Recycling facility via the link below, or you can post any item(s) pack to us (please email us first) and we will ensure they are recycled properly. Other: The laws of England and Wales shall govern the contract between us, and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Sometimes the product specifications from manufacturers can change; in which case we will do our best to offer you a similar alternative. Where "substitute" goods are sent and you are not happy with them and cancel the order, you will not be made to pay the cost of returning the goods. All sizes and measurements are approximate but we do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible. While we try to make sure that all information we provide within our website is accurate, errors and misprints do occur, and we cannot be held responsible for them.
